Bishop Larry Ward lives in Boston and is the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a position he has held since June 1994. He also serves as the Bishop and Presiding Elder of the New England District of the United Pentecostal Council of the Assemblies of God, Inc. As a minister, teacher, and trainer, he is involved with various organizations, including Cambridge Black Pastors Alliance and the Black Ministerial Alliance of Greater Boston, and currently serves on the board of Vision New England. He is certified as a trainer for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and also co-founded a consulting business, Wards of Wisdom, with his wife of 33 years, Rev. Dr. Virginia Ward offering training and consulting for churches and leaders seeking change.
Betsy Cowan lives in Boston and serves as the Chief of Economic Development for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, providing consulting services to municipalities in Greater Boston. Prior to that role, she led the Small Business Technical Assistance program for the City of Boston, after serving as the Executive Director of Egleston Square Main Street, an organization in Jamaica Plain/Roxbury whose mission is to support small businesses. Outside of work, she provides coaching and support to entrepreneurs in Greater Boston, serves on the board of the Emmanuel Gospel Center and is actively involved in Abundant Life Church.
Sarah Gautier lives in Boston and is the Lead Pastor of Living Stones Church in East Boston. Sarah has a J.D. from Northeastern University and previously provided legal services to small businesses in Greater Boston. She also served as the youth pastor at Congregacion Leon de Juda. Sarah is an author of several books, including the book Color Me Yellow, about the finding your voice in the tension between God’s promises and their fulfillment.
After over a decade in financial services, John co-founded Dorchester’s first coworking space, the Fields Corner Business Lab, and launched SCALE Consulting in 2014. SCALE Consulting provides strategic planning, marketing direction, and consulting services for Small Businesses. John is also a director at consulting firm in South Asia where he led their entrepreneurial training program in 2013. John also serves on the board or as an advisor for a handful of companies and co-produces documentary shorts.
